Local brand communications agency, Michael Bell+, were determined to not let Covid-19 stand in the way of their usual Christmas cheer and fundraising festivities, this year. So, during December, the talented team used their creative flair to create a ‘virtual’ Christmas bar in aid of several local charities. In doing so they helped raise £1k for HOMELINK.
Under normal circumstances, the team at the Lewes-based agency host a party for their clients. This year, however, because this was not possible the agency decided to bring the party to their clients. Director, Amy Bell, told us:
“We still wanted to contact [our clients] to wish them Happy Christmas and came up with the concept of a ‘virtual bar’. Every year we support local charities so it made sense to team up the virtual bar with a charitable donation for every ‘drink’ purchased.”
The agency’s clients – which include Amex and Uber – all lined up to order their favourite tipple. “We had a great response from our clients who loved the idea and raised valuable funds for our four local charities,” Amy said.
A few gin and tonics later, an impressive £1000 was raised for HOMELINK – happy hour indeed!
From everyone at HOMELINK, a huge thank you to the brilliant Michael Bell+ team for sharing their creative talents to raise these much-needed community funds and also to their clients for their very generous rounds.
