The HOMELINK team are delighted to report that Lewes District resident, Claire, recently raised £240 for our summer appeal at the Glastonbury music festival.

Claire’s enterprising spirit came to the fore when she had the opportunity to set-up a craft teepee at the world-famous festival.

Her idea was to create sustainable willow lantern kits and run lantern-making workshops during the five-day music event – all proceeds being donated to HOMELINK and another local charity.

“I’m really pleased to have been able to raise this money for such a good local cause,” said Claire.

“We wanted to do this and saw it as a chance to give back had help the homeless. We also got to have a lovely time at Glastonbury with time to enjoy the music in the evenings!”

Look out for Claire’s DIY willow lantern kits at local campsites across Sussex – they will be on sale for £20, £10 of which will be donated to HOMELINK.

Thank you Claire – we are all lit up!
