Thanks to the support of HOMELINK’s volunteers, supporters, Lewes District community and our local churches, response to our Christmas appeal had been exceptional in 2021, raising over £3000 in donations over the festive period.
The HOMELINK team had a busy December with fundraising activities which included the production and distribution of HOMELINK’s first Christmas card based on an original painting by Lewesian equestrian artist, Paul Lucas. The card, which was printed and produced using funding by the Pannett Trust, raised over £500 for HOMELINK this Christmas. Out heart-felt thanks go to the trust for supporting this initiative and enabling us to raise funds and our profile so successfully.
A Christmas appeal flyer, to support HOMELINK’s service this winter, was also produced for the first time in 2021 and delivered to several thousand homes in the Lewes District area. An enormous thank you goes to volunteer Linda Cripps who distributed over 2000 of the leaflets, and volunteers Gill Short, Jan and Brian Newbury, Joanna Slaughter and Mary Evans who also delivered leaflets in their respective areas. Special thanks go also to HOMELINK’s champion Client Manager, Gary Brettle, who found time in his busy schedule to also help with deliveries. Thank you all!
The HOMELINK team also wishes to extend a HUGE thank you to the team at Michael Bell Design, the Lewes-based communications agency, who donated £1000 to our Christmas appeal. We are so grateful for their continued support.
And finally, our thanks go to all of our supporters who also made online donations during December and responded to our Christmas appeal message – as always, your support enables us to maintain our vital service and continue our work of helping people into homes. Thank you so much.
Wishing you all a happy and healthy 2022, the team at HOMELINK.
