A MESSAGE FROM ROS TOOMEY, OUR CHAIR

At this time of year, our thoughts turn particularly to those at risk of homelessness as the weather worsens and the cold and wet sets in. And it is at this time of year that here at HOMELINK we feel the benefit of the support we consistently receive from our local community that makes it possible for us to help around 150 local people each year get a roof over their heads. For a small local charity like ours, this is a remarkable achievement and I’m very proud of the HOMELINK team who help so many people.

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone in our local community for their help, from our local churches, local charities, local authorities and many, many individuals, all of whom give so generously.

Monies donated to HOMELINK go to help local people struggling with homelessness – and, in the case of our Winter Appeal, to help pay through our Home Essential Goods Service for items that are essential for a home to feel like a home. Many local people we help can find that even though they have a permanent roof over their heads they have very, very little – no fridge, no cooker, no carpet on the floor, sometimes even no bed. Please give generously to our Winter Appeal so that we can help a person near you to have a better Christmas.
